You know on those duvet days when you’re foraging through archive photos of yourself on Facebook and you stop in your clicking tracks when you notice the thickest colour border between your neck and jawline, like they are two separate continents? Back when you were on a night out during fresher’s week when you thought eight heavy-handed pumps of foundation was fool proof for maximum longevity? You didn’t know it then (or would have admitted it) but you were firmly in your foundation infancy – the days of fake bake combined with haplessly smothered, two shades-too-dark foundation as runny as a (excuse the visual) toddler’s nose or as heavy duty as duct tape. And maybe you even sported a contour of stick-on stars along the hallows of your cheekbones, made out of plastic diamonds because that’s what you did when you went on a night out. Basically, you couldn’t really tell where your make-up stopped and your skin started.
