It may look similar to other Dyson machines but 2021’s Purifier range goes a step further to trap the bad stuff in, forever...and it’s not us!

Sshhh... Besides being a quieter design, it also has a Night Mode that dims the display and runs at its stealthiest settings.
You may need to do a double take just to make sure they’re “new”. Aesthetically, not much has changed from last year’s Pure to this year’s Purifier range, but it’s all about the details. Or filters, in this case. Both the Purifier Cool and Purifier Hot+Cool are now completely sealed to HEPA standards.
Since Dyson’s purifier designs also channel purified air back into the room, almost like a bladeless fan, making the entire design air tight is harder than it looks. With this new sealed design, dirty air cannot enter the unit from any joints, providing 99.95% removal of particles as small as 0.1microns. And yes, that includes H1N1, in case you’re wondering.
Instead of the usual heating coils that are inefficient and even hazardous, Dyson uses ceramic plates as heating elements for the Purifier Hot+Cool. The thermostat control ensures they stop heating once the target temperature is achieved. In Mumbai’s 34 degree October heat, we didn’t test it but take Dyson’s word for it!
It’s not immediately evident, but the advantages of totally purified air within a home you’re spending the whole day in can be felt over time. It’s no AC of course, but the cooling function does work well even on a hot day, making the room more comfortable. It’s also 20% quieter, making it for an ideal workspace must-have.
