So I wanted to try it but it’s up in SF and I’m in Huntington Beach so it’s not like it’s down the street. After skating the Bust or Bail at the San Diego triple set, Phelps called me up and was, like, “You got the fucking best kickflip right now. I need you to come kickflip this double set in the city.” He described the spot and it was the same one I wanted to hit. We planned it out and I drove up there but they were redoing the asphalt in front of the run up so we were fucked. But there’s another almost identical double set at the same spot. Comprised of vocalist Alex Bond, guitarist Anthony Sardella, bassist Max Fitzgibbon and drummer JoJo Williamson, Dress Up is band of skaters who just happen to cross dress at every performance. Bond explains, “We have fun doing it and that’s exactly why—as skaters—we thought it was cool to eliminate the masculine vibe you would expect from us.
