The Coronavirus pandemic threw the cricketing calendar out of gear. As a result, on-field activity was restricted for the most part of the year. Looking at Test cricket, the year began with the New Year matches between Australia-New Zealand and South Africa-England. However, after the Test series between India and the Kiwis in New Zealand, things came to a halt and only resumed when England faced West Indies in July. Test cricket is slowly getting back to its feet. India are currently facing Australia as part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Dom Sibley was the second-highest run-getter in 2020, with 615 runs. He hit two hundreds and as many fifties in nine Tests at an average of 47.3 with a best of 133 not out against South Africa.
