The second week of the T20 World Cup 2021 is behind us and we are almost at the end of the Super 12 stage. The week confirmed the qualification of old rivals England and Australia as the two semi-finalists from Group 1. While England qualified despite losing to South Africa in their last Super 12 encounter, the Aussies pipped the Proteas on net run rate following a thumping win over West Indies. Pakistan have qualified for the semi-finals from Group 2 while the second team to make it will be decided soon. Here is the T20 World Cup 2021 team of the second week.

England opener Jos Buttler has been in terrific form. He smashed a brilliant hundred against Sri Lanka to bail the team out of trouble after a poor start. His century all but assured the team of a place in the semis. He followed it up with a swift 26 against South Africa. Australian left-hander David Warner will be Buttler’s opening partner and also the captain of the team. Warner’s unbeaten 89 off 56 balls went a long way in Australia clinching the second semi-final spot in Group 1.
