Audi A8L Has Possibly The Most Advanced User Interface Seen In A Production Car

As far as luxury limos go, the Audi A8 has always been one of the more understated designs when placed up against its competitors. But Audi isn’t into loud, brash designs. The sleek, smooth fourth-generation A8 is a technological powerhouse, and besides the highly accomplished drivetrain, it’s a real showcase of modern automotive integration.

The frame, one of the variants of the VW Group’s MLB evo modular platform first introduced with the current generation Audi Q7, is made of more than 50 per cent aluminium for weight savings.

Light weight design has always been an Audi hallmark, but the cabin is as solid and reassuring as ever. It’s the first production Audi to be made with what that brand calls its touch operating concept. On the main dashboard, two individual touch screens are mounted and at the rear a removable one is housed in the foldable armrest of the bench. Everything from air conditioning to navigation can be controlled on the screens.
