CAT AND TAC … AN FX MASTERCLASS
Best laid plans and all that yeah? … well, no! With a week’s holiday in the Lake District in the offing, I planned to update and upgrade ‘Lola’, the FX DLC-Tac with a few things that I needed. I touched on this last month, and all the bits and pieces had been ordered and packed away ready to install, and I planned a video of the build-up for my YouTube channel, including the whys and wherefores of the changes. ‘Piece of cake’, I thought, but such is the draw of the Tac that I just couldn’t put it down and start the job.

Before I went away, I had a call out to a feral pigeon problem and normally, I give myself a time limit for my shooting and generally stick to it, but such was the fun that I ended up losing track of time and overran by an hour. I took 24 of the ferals out of the game in a short order, but unfortunately, due to the derelict condition of the building, I was only able to pick up 11 of the flying rats, so that’s how many were recorded on my numbers log.

The little FX really is that much fun to use and supremely accurate. Lola has also accounted for plenty of skinnies, woodpigeons and a few rabbits since last month because I take the Tac with me for a spot of daylight shooting before cracking out the centrefire and the FX Warcat on my night-time ventures.
