Climate Change Behind July Heat

ANTHROPOGENIC EMISSIONS made the heatwaves seen in North America and Europe 1,000 times more likely, according to latest analysis by World Weather Attribution (WWA).

Rising temperatures in China too, were made 50 times more likely by anthropogenic impacts, adds WWA, a collaboration of scientists quantifying how climate change influences intensity and likelihood of an extreme weather event.
