The Sky at Night presenter experienced the chills - literal and figurative-of August's American Eclipse.
Earlier this year I realised with great excitement that I had been invited out to the US for a meeting just two weeks before the total eclipse of the Sun that ran right across the continent.
My meeting was in Silicon Valley, so the next choice was where to view the eclipse from. Whatever happened, I needed to travel north to get into the narrow path of totality. But with the width of the US to choose from, I had to decide which state I should head for.
