Why We Hurt Our Loved Ones?
Akhand Gyan - English|March 2020
Love– an emotion that sprouts from the heart with its roots in every cell of our body! It doesn't matter then, if it enters your body in the form of a touch; be it from your mother or your child.
Why We Hurt Our Loved Ones?

In the form of sound, be it a lullaby or the voice of your family or a confession about someone's feeling for you; or in the form of a visual, be it a childhood photograph or a virtual memory inside your mind; they all take the message to the heart that love has arrived, and it beats its favourite frequency known to our mind as Love.

Isn't it the best feeling in the world? The unicorns, the rainbows, the roses… all fade away when a loved one laughs in your company! The world seems to be spinning at the right angle, isn't it? But, not to deny, such moments also come, when we get hurt by a loved one. The world doesn't seem to be rosy anymore… and, it feels as if we have got kicked by our unicorn, or got lacerated by the thorns our roses were hiding.

And it hurts.

The same heart which was beating with a beautiful frequency starts to weep and we are left wondering, what wrong did I do?

Actually, we often don't realise that many a times we do wrong things, sometimes out of our beliefs; sometimes out of our ignorance; and, sometimes because we take things for granted, don't we?

Let's discuss them, one by one.

OUT OF OUR BELIEFS

Once a sword and a shield went to watch a movie on war. They ended up debating as to who should be the best actor and who should be the supporting one. The shield thought 'The Shield' was the main protagonist; however, the sword thought it was 'The Sword'. They didn't talk for a day and decided that let the audience select the right option. Aha! The audience chose the actor who was yielding both of them.

They had a debate because they judged things according to their world's views and forgot that the other has its own.

Doesn't the same thing happen when your kids don't entertain the lessons you learnt in life? Or, when you observe your parents favouring societal rules over your sentiments?
