How did your journey in wedding photography begin?

When I first began my career in photography, I absolutely had no clue that I would eventually turn to photography full time. I used to learn classical music in Mumbai from my Guruji, Pt. Sudhir Nayak. During this time, he encouraged me to take up photography, because maybe he sensed that talent in me. Therefore, I started shooting various classical concerts throughout India. I used to upload my pictures on social media and whenever I found a chance I spoke to the artists and asked them if I could send them my pictures which they could make use of. Eventually, I got a booking for an engagement photo shoot from a Tabla player and that is where my journey in wedding photography began. Slowly I started getting a lot of inquiries and then there was no looking back. My Guruji supported me to do it full time and I gave up my career in music but not my love for it. In fact it was him, who gave the name “Spurfection” for my photography work. I modified it to ‘Spurfection by Prabhu’.

How difficult is it to work with couples who are camera shy?
