R. Ashwin has always been a thinking cricketer. He has also been a fighter, more against perceptions than anything else. The 32-year-old, though, has learnt to ignore it all.

"Most times I am battling the benchmarks I have created for myself and unfortunately people don't take that into consideration. I don't expect them to do it because it has never been an Indian way and I am not worried about it; he said candidly on the sidelines of the Deodhar Trophy here.
