As Cases Rise, Kerala Put Under Lockdown

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday put Kerala under lockdown till March 31 following a spike in the COVID-19 caseload.

On Monday, 28 new positive cases of COVID-19 surfaced in Kerala, taking the total number of cases reported the State since January to 95.

The State will seal its borders and prevent inter-district travel. It has halted KSRTC and private bus services. Autorickshaws and taxis could ferry one person at a time. There is no restriction on the use of private vehicles.
