RICKY Gervais was “shocked and appalled” to learn of sexual misconduct allegations made against a producer on his hit show After Life.
Award-winner Charlie Hanson has been dropped from the Netflix programme and suspended by Bafta following the claims.
Hanson, 68, said he “strongly” refuted the allegations which he described as “demonstrably false”.
Gervais, who created and performs in After Life, said: “I am shocked and appalled to learn of the historical allegations made by a number of women against Charlie Hanson.
