After Storm Dudley leaves thousands without power, Met Office warns tomorrow’s storm could bring 100mph winds, disruption and damage
THE Met Office has issued a “be prepared” warning with 100mph Storm Eunice set to hit tomorrow after Storm Dudley left thousands without power and caused travel chaos.
A clean-up was under way this morning after the first storm swept through parts of the UK overnight.
But after a brief respite today, people are being warned to be ready for Storm Eunice — which the Met Office said “may cause significant disruption due to extremely strong winds”.
It has warned there is a potential for fallen trees, damage to buildings and travel disruption. Forecasters said gales could reach up to 100mph in coastal regions and the Environment Agency has warned of a risk of flooding in southern England tomorrow.
