Clermont shock call for Cov's No10 Rory

RORY Jennings admits he can’t believe his luck after signing for Clermont Auvergne, calling his surprise move to the two-time Top 14 champions “a great honour”.
One minute the 24-year old fly-half was wondering whether he’d get to play again this season with Coventry in the RFU Championship, the next he’s on the books of one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Appropriately his fairytale move came about after a short spell in Nevers-land, as he explained:
“I was due to go back into pre-season with Cov three weeks ago, but Pro D2 team Nevers got in touch because they had an injury at 10 and I did a bit of training with them.
“The same week Clermont got in touch to say they wanted to have a look at me, and I went there as well to see what the crack was.
“I was speaking to them a little bit before I came to France, but then it went dead for a while. But me being in France must’ve helped as it meant things could happen quickly.
