The Spitfires boss admits playing competitive National League games behind closed doors is taking some getting used to.
But it’s been an encouraging start with an unbeaten four-game opening including a 5-1 first-day win at Barnet.
Although he’d like even more points than their two wins and two draws have yielded, Strevens is quietly pleased with his side.
And the boss is reiterating the importance these early games hold.
“We’re all trying our best to crack on as normal,” he told The NLP. “The thing I keep repeating to the players and reminding myself is that, just because there is no one in the stadium, it doesn’t mean it’s not real and it doesn’t matter.
