SBARRA PUNISHES TEN-MAN SPITFIRES

SUBSTITUTE Joe Sbarra salvaged a point for Solihull Moors with a stoppage-time equaliser to deny an Eastleigh side who played the entire second half with ten men after Joe Partington had been sent off on the stroke of half-time.

Eastleigh weathered sustained Solihull pressure, clinging on to Tyrone Barnett’s 22nd-minute lead until they finally cracked two minutes into added time when Sbarra pounced on a weak clearance to level the scores.

“It feels like we’ve just lost the game,” confessed Eastleigh boss Ben Strevens, who had to restructure his side after Partington’s red card.

“I thought we had ridden the storm and we defended it really well, but then we make one slight mistake and Sbarra equalises.

“It can be cruel sometimes because I thought we did really well in terms of commitment and determination.”
