A-LISTERS REVEAL SIMPLE MANTRA

PROSPECTIVE film star owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have laid out a straight-forward mantra for their proposed takeover of Wrexham – “Always beat Chester!”

The Hollywood A-list actors held a Zoom meeting with members of the Wrexham Supporters Trust on Sunday ahead of the voting procedure, which begun this week.

And in a mission statement unveiled on the club’s website, detailing the three resolutions of their takeover plan, there was one recurring ambition that the superstar owners-in-waiting couldn’t emphasise enough.

“Always beat Chester,” was the mantra mentioned which split paragraphs in the statement on no fewer than three occasions before ending with a cheeky comment of “If we ever play Chester again”.

“We’re two people who’ve made a career of never taking ourselves too seriously. However, we realise taking stewardship of this great and storied club is an incredibly serious matter and something we don’t take lightly.
