Harrison Header Surprises Hughes
WREXHAM manager Bryan Hughes admit-ted his side’s form is “killing me” after Harrison Panayiotou’s 94th-minute header earned Aldershot Town a first home victory of the season and their first at the EBB Stadium on a Saturday in more than ten months.
Panayiotou’s winner, diving to meet Ethan Chislett’s teasing cross, was celebrated with a gusto that told how important a moment it could be for the Shots – and it left Hughes in no doubt as to the size of the task which lies ahead of him in the coming weeks.
“I totally understand the fans’ frustration. Everybody is frustrated, but we’ve got to move forward,” admitted Hughes, as the Dragons failed to score for the first time in 17 league games yet also continued a run of just one clean sheet this season.
