Mindset change lifts the Blues...
BIRMINGHAM manager Aitor Karanka has hailed his side’s “100 percent” change in mentality since capitulating to lowly Cambridge United last month.
The Blues mustered just two efforts on target as the League Two side triumphed 1-0 in the Carabao Cup first round at St Andrew’s in Karanka’s first game in charge - a game the Spaniard described as a “nightmare”.
But an opening day victory over Brentford was then followed by a goalless draw at Swansea before last weekend’s dramatic finale against Rotherham saw Jeremie Bela net a 90th-minute penalty to snatch a point.
“It has been one month since the game against Cambridge and in that time the mentality has changed 100 per cent,” said the former Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest boss
