Demi Lovato may have stayed “cool for the summer,” but these days she seems a little hot under the collar. After a series of tweetstorms and backlash to comments she’s made in interviews, the 24-year-old star announced on Oct. 4 that she’ll soon be taking an extended break from music and the public eye. “Demi feels a huge amount of pressure,” says an insider, “and she wants to rethink her life.”

In the wake of her June breakup from
