DINA Asher-Smith won 100m silver at the World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar – as athletes slammed the organisers about empty stands and unbearable heat.

It was Asher-Smith’s first individual medal in a world event, and she has become the first British woman to win a world championship sprint medal since Kathy Smallwood-Cook in 1983. But her lap of honour was only seen by about 1,000 spectators, leaving team-mate Beth Dobbin to say “she was robbed” of a special moment.
