WHY PLUS IS MORE
What is it with the bike industry? No sooner has it introduced one new wheel size, it comes up with a variation that's ever so slightly different. Now we're all for innovation, but with the market in a constant state of flux, no one knows which wheel size bandwagon to jump on. Most of us have our favoured rim diameter by now, but what about tyre width? Is Plus going to take over, or will narrower tyres prevail? Should you hedge your bet with a model that can accommodate both, and accept a slight compromise in geometry?
Plenty of new frames are embracing all tyres great and small (bikes like the Orbea Occam on page 12 and the Whyte S-150, for example), so there's no shortage of choice. To help you decide, here’s a rundown on what we know so far about Plus.

DMR STAGE 2 MTB RAIL SADDLE
DMR's new Stage 2 MTB Rail is one of those new/old products. The shape and construction are identical to the existing Oi Oi saddle, but the company has wrapped it in a new skin and added some harder-wearing reinforcement to the edges. It's also toned down the lairy graphics; this saddle only comes in plain black.
