Specialized’s Shiv is a great bike for triathlon, especially with its awesome Fuelcell integrated storage for all the gels, bars, spares and tools I need to carry. It also has a ‘Fuelselage’ internal bladder in that fat down tube for 650ml of drink that I can top up on the fly.
I used to ride road bikes from Specialized during my ITU days. The Shiv is light, responsive and able to put me in a position that’s very comfortable – comfort is key if you’re going to be riding 180km. It also comes in funky colours – watch out for my Kona bike with matching wheels!
