From timeworn to timeless, an old apartment now oozes eclectic appeal.
While most typically follow the latest fads in interiors, the owners of this resale HDB unit wanted the contrary. “The couple reached out to me without a specific theme in mind. In fact, they highlighted that they didn’t want anything trending. They simply desired a cosy living space that would never go out of style,” says Joey Khu, the interior expert that the family roped in for the renovation, recalling his initial meeting with them.
“I really enjoyed working on this project as the homeowners gave me complete freedom to conceptualise and craft a brand new look for their timeworn apartment. Plus, they were really receptive to my ideas,” he continues. Taking into account the kinfolk’s lifestyle needs and creature habits, Joey proposed the modern eclectic style for their home’s makeover.
