A newly revised classification system for the world’s most sought-after wines has highlighted names to watch on the secondary market.​ Châteaux Calon Ségur, Rauzan-Ségla and Beychevelle were all promoted by one level to the second tier of the 2019 Liv-ex Classification, having seen average prices rise since the trading platform’s previous ranking in 2017.
Carmes Haut-Brion was a new entry in 2019 and also entered the second tier of the five-level ranking. Mission Haut-Brion was narrowly relegated from the top tier.
