How To: Perfect Your Liner

Only second to lipstick, this is probably one of the most commonly followed steps in everyone’s make-up routine. I still remember the Nina Ricci pencil I got when I was 13-years-old and over the years I’ve only fallen more in love with how much this seemingly random line across your lids can do for your face!

STEP 1

If you’re using a pencil, make sure it’s sharpened. If you’re using a felt-tip or liquid eyeliner, hold the applicator horizontally along your lid, as close as possible to the lash line. You want to avoid using the tip of the applicator. If you’re using gel eyeliner, dip your brush in the pot so you’ve got product only on one side of your brush to avoid creating a mess.
