Last December, at the grand finale of Miss Trans Global 2021 pageant, beauty queen Fazelyn Jaafar was crowned ‘Countess Global’ (for placing in the Top 4).
“This achievement means a lot to me. It gives me the platform to spread awareness, and highlight the issues faced by the trans community in my country. Society regards them with contempt and shuns them. I want to change that. I want be the voice for the voiceless.”
