OWNING a piece of a top movie rubs off its magic and the sums of money changing hands for the choicest items of memorabilia reflect this. James Bond is so often a huge attraction with mementoes capturing the glamour of the cars, girls and gadgets. However, plenty of other names – Elvis, The Beatles, Marilyn Monroe, Star Wars and Doctor Who – make big money. Value is influenced by the nostalgia we hold for a person or production and each generation will have its own heroes and cults.
