When Senior Designer Verena Lim of Resistance was brought onboard to work on this house, her clients, a young couple, wanted a stylish and comfortable space where they could host friends and family frequently. They wanted a bar, and they also had two contrasting styles in mind for different spaces. The living room and kitchen needed to be bright with a Scandinavian-influenced colour palette, while a darker, more cocooning feel was requested for the bedrooms and bathrooms. Beyond these guidelines, the homeowners gave Verena plenty of free rein to play with the design.
