Samsung Opera House

The people of Bengaluru have a new reason to be happy: a landmark building (almost a century old) has been restored and re-purposed by Samsung as its experience centre.

Strategically positioned at the junction of Residency and Brigade Roads, Opera House was a landmark that every Bangalorean was familiar with. Built in the 1920s , it was used as a movie theatre till the 80s; after which it fell into utter disrepair. The crumbling building stood silently as the alcubond structures mushroomed all around it and dwarfed this little lady of the yesteryears. Since September last, it wears a new look.
