Starting at CEPT in her home town, Ahmedabad, and then further onto UC Berkeley, USA; Canna learnt to amalgamate the Indian and the western design philosophies very early in life. Initially, her studio was part of her eminent architect father Hasmukh Patel’s company. Her private practice HCP Interior Design (HCPID; a culmination of two decades of honing innate talents and experimenting, started only in 2006. Canna’s personality rubs off on her work - though fairly modern and liberal, the Indian values are deep-rooted. The firm, which works on both architecture and interior design projects, is currently fine tuning the interior design aspects of the prestigious Central Vista redevelopment project in the capital.
