The Club at The Trees is an anchoring zone for The Trees, a34-acre mixed-use development for Godrej Properties Ltd in Vikhroli, a prominent neighbourhood from Mumbai’s industrial past.

Programmed as a community centre for the residential towers in the project, The Club has been conceptualized as a collection of buildings abstracted from the memories of the site – borrowing in form and material from the industrial legacy of Vikhroli as well as the Godrej Group.

STUDIO LOTUS

Founded in 2002 by Ambrish Arora, Ankur Choksi and Sidhartha Talwar, Studio Lotus is acknowledged as a thought leader in the country for its work in the domain of Architecture and Spatial Design. The firm takes a deeply contextual approach to its work and combines this with a strong focus on the tactile and sensory qualities of the space. The design process looks at sustainability through the multiple lenses of cultural, social and environmental impact with an active engagement in integrating localised skills and resources with state-of-the-art materials and technologies. Working in a highly collaborative environment, the team combines distinct strengths over multiple domains to shape master plans, buildings, interiors and related endeavours, which are at the cutting edge of design thinking.
