When I think of Ibiza, I think of family houses of a very humble nature, nothing monumental or monolithic. This, in spite of its dimensions, is exactly that,’ begins Patricia Urquiola, the needs no-introduction architect, and designer behind this hilltop villa on the east coast of the Spanish island. Similarly, the homeowners – him Italian, her Spanish, and their two children – wanted something that was more of an escape than a statement, a peaceful protest against the island’s party scene.
