The art of soap making is easier than you think. You don't need any special equipment and, with the right ingredients, it only takes a few hours from start to set. Check out these projects for fragrant, moisturising and exfoliating bars. The process is so simple and fun it's a perfect project to do with the kids.

EASY STEPS TO YOUR HONEYCOMB SOAP

Gather your supplies

• 4-hole rectangular flexible silicone mould

• White melt and pour soap base

• Isocol rubbing alcohol Sweet orange essential oil

You'll also need

Bubble wrap; scissors; cutting mat; sharp knife; heatproof jug; stirrer; spoons; honey; turmeric

Here's how

STEP 1 Cut pieces of bubble wrap to fit inside mould holes.

STEP 2 Working on a cutting mat, slice melt and pour soap base, then cut into lcm cubes with a sharp knife.

STEP 3 Put soap cubes into a heatproof jug and microwave in 20-30 second increments, stirring after each, until cubes are fully melted. Add 3 tablespoons of honey and stir in.
