Late Pregnancy?

Ever since the dawn of the millennium, women have been pestered about having kids early in their lives. Your female relatives, friends and even neighbourhood aunties have ticked you off with their targeted commentary and how it’s high time for you to have children. The terms “your biological clock is ticking”, “it just gets more difficult with age”, “you are young and will easily balance your life” etc are so easily and repeatedly directed towards women in their early 20s that they create an unwarranted pressure on them. Many women start to believe that even the age of 25 is way too old to have a child.

Yes, it is true that getting pregnant with increasing age is difficult. There are many reasons, the primary being the fact that your eggs aren’t as viable and healthy as they are in your 20s. Plus, there is an increased risk of miscarriage and a lot of fertility issues. Moreover, late pregnancies have regularly been associated with health risks and complications like hypertension or diabetes and even birth defects.
