TOTAL ECLIPSE

BODIES IN COLLISION, an exchange of celestial energy, sweeping sine waves and all-encompassing chakras—artist and designer Somnath Bhatt provokes deep nostalgia and intrigue through his expansive and experimental body of work. Born and raised in Ahmedabad, Bhatt now lives in New York after graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2017. Yet his art, inspired by the universe and rooted in Indian folklore, has found homes across the world. The 28-year-old designer has exhibited at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, The Wrong Biennale in Oslo, Art Week Dubai, The Other Art Fair in Brooklyn, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and most recently, at India Art Fair in New Delhi.
