Uno de mis clichés favoritos en el mundo literario es el de los amores prohibidos, sobre todo cuando los autores tocan temas que pueden desestabilizar al lector. Mónica Lavín lo logró con Tonada de un viejo amor, una novela donde el erotismo, los viñedos y las melodías de los años 40 y 50 se unen para dar vida a una obra sobre el deseo y la constante búsqueda por satisfacerlo.
¿Por qué decidiste enfocarte en el incesto?
Creo que por la propia personalidad de Cristina Velasco: ¿qué otro amor podría haber sido prohibido para ella? El de diferencia de clases sociales no, porque es una mujer sofisticada que anhela el mundo; entonces me pareció que el más complejo que podía ocurrir era con el hermano de su papá.
¿Cuál crees que es el sello distintivo de esta historia?
El incesto siempre ha sucedido en la vida y en la literatura. Es muy fácil que se miren dos de la misma familia, sobre todo si hay diferencia de edades. Sabemos de muchos primos que se casan entre ellos, pero un tío y una sobrina es mucho más complejo que ocurra. No sé si todo incesto sea así, pero en este caso es un acuerdo entre los dos, es un incesto en el que nadie está sometido por el otro y hay un feliz encuentro que no puede darse puertas afuera.
¿Crees que los temas tabú son interpretados dependiendo del contexto social?
