The tables are turned on Line of Duty’s Martin Compston in a new forensics drama

We’re used to seeing Martin Compston bringing corrupt cops to justice as DS Steve Arnott in BBC1’s Line of Duty. But this week he plays a builder who comes under suspicion in Alibi’s six-part forensics drama, Traces.

The series centres on lab technician Emma (BAFTA-winning Three Girls actress Molly Windsor), who has returned home to Dundee to start work at a forensic-science institute, and she soon reconnects with her dad (Gregory’s Girl star John Gordon Sinclair) and pal Skye (Jamie Marie Leary).
