Philip Pullman’s fantasy trilogy His Dark Materials has been enchanting readers since the mid-1990s, and now BBC1 is adapting the books for an eight-part series.
With an all-star cast including James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson, Helen McCrory and Lin-Manuel Miranda, this family-friendly adventure tells the story of a young girl, Lyra, who lives in the fictional Jordan College in Oxford, where she was left as a baby by her explorer uncle Lord Asriel.
