Celebrating Tolerance – a new book covering 10 diverse faiths in the UAE is a must-read

Harmony In The UAE

Reverend Andy Thompson has been Chaplain of St Andrew’s Church in Abu Dhabi since 2010. He is a key member of the UAE’s thriving Christian community and has just published his third book on the subject of inter-faith communities. Celebrating Tolerance covers the topic of faith diversity and the spirit of tolerance in the UAE. The UAE Minister of Tolerance, His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, who also wrote the book’s foreword, presented the book to Pope Francis in Abu Dhabi last month. HOW NOT TO LOSE YOUR COOL THIS SUMMER

This is a city that works hard, plays hard, but, on a boiling hot day, can feel like hard work. So look at this month’s magazine as a little cooling comfort pack to see you through the summer season. Let yourself be whisked off to our favourite indoor bars and hideaways – with AC, summery feels and maybe an ice-cold drink to keep you chill. Then dream of refreshing dishes to fill your belly. You’ve never had it so cool.
