An English literature professor on the verge of retirement might not sound like the raciest of roles. But Jane Seymour says her latest TV incarnation, Harriet ‘Harry’ Wild, is planning to grow old disgracefully.

Set in Dublin, Acorn TV’s new eight-part crime drama Harry Wild centres on free spirit Harry, who, as well as devouring books, enjoys swearing, smoking, snogging, doing shots and generally shocking her strait-laced detective son Charlie (Kevin Ryan) and his wife Orla (Amy Huberman).
