Yavï separates look as much at home on the streets of Mexico, as they would on the bylanes of Mumbai. Rushmika Banerjee takes a closer look at the label that thrives on impressionism.

I am fascinated with the textiles of the world,” says designer Yadvi Agarwal, and her obsession translates into her silhouettes, which hit the sweet spot between an artist’s vision and the wearer’s seasoned style. Started in 2016, Yavï made its debut at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/ Festive 2018 in the Gen Next category. She says, “The focus was on impressionist, hand-painted, and one-thread embroidery signature pieces. These extended into a wider range of separates.”
