As Schiller explained at the October keynote, these ports make it easy to mix and match many different accessories as and when you need them; connectivity standards supported by these ports include USB, DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA. This makes it an especially uncomplicated process to connect multiple external monitors to the machine.
