How Extra Screens Can Help Creative Professionals.
LESSONS FROM THE NEW MACBOOK PRO AND EXTERNAL MONITOR
While Macs have become formidable productivity machines for many people around the world, you might not have realized just how easily the professional experience they offer can be even further enhanced. What are we referring to here? The ability to connect a Mac to multiple monitors, that’s what.
In fact, the new, redesigned MacBook Pro makes such expansion especially straightforward. In this article, we look at why this is the case, as well as how a wide range of professional users can benefit.

IMPRESSIVE FUNCTIONALITY UNLEASHED WITH THE NEW MACBOOK PRO
There are obvious reasons for professionals of various types, including musicians, filmmakers, artists and designers, to like the new MacBook Pro models. As Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller, enthused when showing off the devices for the first time in October, the 15-inch model delivers 130% and 57% performance enhancements over its predecessor for 3D graphics and video editing respectively. Both numbers are 76% for the 13-inch model.
However, you also mustn’t overlook the versatility of the four Thunderbolt 3 ports with which each model comes. As Schiller explained at the October keynote, these ports make it easy to mix and match many different accessories as and when you need them; connectivity standards supported by these ports include USB, DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA. This makes it an especially uncomplicated process to connect multiple external monitors to the machine.
