Usually, we hear stories of how good people win over bad, how good deeds are better than evil ones; today I am going to tell you a very different story of how good became better and still better.

Granny started ruminating, “In a kingdom long long ago there lived a king called Sarveshwar. His kingdom was rich and prosperous and his subjects were happy under his rule. His fame grew far and wide and no other king dared to think of overthrowing him and conquering his kingdom. His family consisted of his queen and his three sons; Shikhar, Sagar and Saatvik. Everywhere you could see beautiful buildings, parks, palatial bungalows, fountains, clean market places etc., all of which again proved the ability of the ruler and also his subjects.
As in any other kingdom, King Sarveshwar also felt that he had to choose a successor to follow in his footsteps and continue his good work. In King Sarveshwar’s case, the story was different as all his three sons were equally good in all respects which made the selection very difficult.
Divya cut in, “Granny, the king could toss a coin to select, couldn’t he, as we do while playing?"
This situation led the King to call a meeting of his close aides to get their advice regarding the matter. “Dear friends, I am in a dilemma. You have all given me good advice regarding the affairs of the Kingdom, but now I need your sincere and frank opinion on a very personal matter,” the King said and he confided his thoughts to them. The ministers put their heads together and they finally reached a conclusion.”
The children burst out laughing on hearing this and Granny quizzed them about their laughter. “Granny darling, how can they take a decision if they put their heads together, they will only hurt themselves?” Ritwik asked holding his sides laughing. “No... no, children, ‘put their heads together’ also means that they consulted and discussed the matter among themselves,” replied Granny with a smile.
