And on Maunday Thursday, Prince Charles got to feel like the reigning monarch when he and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, stepped in for his 95-year-old mother, Queen Elizabeth II at the traditional service at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle April 14. In sending her regrets, the ailing Queen seemed to acknowledge churchgoers might be disappointed with her substitute, saying she was “keen” that they were aware of her absence ahead of time, “so as to avoid any misunderstanding or overshadowing of the event on the day.”

Looks like Prince Andrew isn't the only of her sons putting a blot on the royal family. Dogged by rumors of affairs from as far back as his marriage to the late Princess Diana and mocked as the “Pampered Prince" for his bizarre rituals and demands, the 73-year-old is now facing an investigation into his charity for an alleged cash-for-honors scandal. “Charles denies any wrongdoing," an insider tells Star. “But he's freaking out at what skeletons are going to come tumbling out of the closet."
