Life begins at 40 but, according to birthday girl Jennifer Aniston, it’s at 50 when the excitement really kicks off. It’s no surprise then that the Friends star isn’t dreading her milestone birthday on February 11. Looking years younger than her half-century, Jen’s nevertheless determined to take all that comes with her 50s. Her approach to ageing is refreshing, positive and inspiring for someone who’s lived in the spotlight for the past 25 years, and the actress is eager to begin a new chapter in her life.

Having recently added second-husband Justin Theroux, 47, to her famous list of exes, the world was hoping for a reunion with ex Brad Pitt to last forever. But that was not to be. ‘I don’t feel a void. I really don’t,’ she said recently of being single. ‘My marriages, they’ve been very successful, in [my] personal opinion.

And when they came to an end, it was a choice that was made because we chose to be happy, and sometimes happiness didn’t exist within that arrangement anymore.’
