After welcoming their fourth child via surrogate, it should be one of the happiest times in Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s lives. But sources tell NW that the couple are in fact hanging by a thread – and their five-year wedding anniversary on May 24 could well be their last.

Yep, it seems the celeb pair – also parents to North, five, Saint, three, and Chicago, one – have well and truly hit rock bottom. And in a depressing twist, sources reckon they’re destined for one hell of a cash and custody battle when they do officially call it quits.

“Kim and Kanye’s marriage has been a mess for such a long time and they’re running on fumes at this point,” reveals an insider. “The sad thing is, they don’t seem to care. Kim does her thing and Kanye does his. It was hoped that having a baby together would bring a miracle and somehow resolve their issues. But it’s only proven to everyone how far apart they still are.”

While Kim’s been juggling motherhood with her cosmetics line and studying law on the side, Kanye’s been... well, Kanye.
