Given they’ve been together for three years, Britney Spears knew a proposal from beau Sam Asghari was right around the corner – but the singer still got the shock of her life when the hunky personal trainer finally popped the big Q... at the gym! Soooo romantic.

Yep, Brit, 38, was sweating through a heavy-duty set of crunches when Sam, 26, presented her with an engagement ring.

“Well, she nearly fell off the bench!” reveals a long-time pal of the singer, who broke her foot during a recent workout. “Sam tried to make her do another sit-up to get the ring, but she was in complete shock.”

Sam is a total gym junkie and Brit’s become just as obsessed as he is – so she found his proposal hilariously fitting.
